dispersing & reflecting light through poetry

NaPoWriMo Day 19

Day 19 [10:38-11:04 pm]
I found this prompt late last night and promptly wrote the poem.

The Science Fiction Poetry Association was started in 1978.  They have several events throughout the year to charge up creativity and invite participation. They have standard yearly awards. Write a poem today that would meet the qualifications of their Dwarf Star award. Essentially it should be 1-10 lines and fit the science fiction, horror or fantasy genre. Abducted Out of the Silent Planet

I look forward with surreal anticipation
For the legions of star seraphim
To enter our dimension’s atmosphere

With a trumpeting sonic boom;
To be lifted by shafts of immaculate light
Into the holy hull of that wheel within a wheel;

To be transported into the endless heavens,
Genetically altered at the molecular level
For eternal complementary probing.
