dispersing & reflecting light through poetry

NaPoWriMo Day 8

Day 8 [6:20-6:41 pm]
For today’s prompt, write a doodle poem. (www.writersdigest.com/whats-new/2016-april-pad-challenge-day-8) + …finding a flower, and versifying in its honor. (www.napowrimo.net/)

Flower Doodle

Pink petals
Pinkish petals
Pink pink pink
                 ponk
                 punk
                 punk rock, steampunk
“…you’ve got to ask yourself one question:
Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”
Not at the moment.
     This magic moment…
                          mo ment…
                          mom ment…
What did mom mean? mom mean?
Mom’s mean? The mean mom.
The average mom. The average of
mom plus dad divided by offspring
off spring of spring
           of springtime
           spring is in the air
           springing flowers everywhere…

  1. I love this poem! Because you did so much interesting word play, reading it outloud is quite an adventure. The poem really lets both your mind and tongue play, and we often do not get a lot of that with poetry nowadays!

    • Thank you. And I had not read this one out loud yet. I try to do so as much as I can to make sure it flows, but I’ve been pushing to get these napowrimo challenges out each day. Thank you again for the read & follow.
